skantherm-Thermostone.

Intelligent heat retention.

The innovative Thermostone heat retention system from skantherm efficiently absorbs the heat generated by the fire and releases it evenly into the room for many hours – even after the flames have faded. This allows you to enjoy long-lasting, comfortable warmth while effectively reducing your heating costs.

Thermostone – intelligent heat retention

Our highly adaptable Thermostone system is an elegant and invisible addition that transforms your skantherm stove into a high-performance thermal mass stove. The magnetite thermal modules follow our minimalist design principles and extend a three-hour burn into up to ten hours of cosy radiant heat.

Model-specific Thermostone storage mass

Emotion S/M/XXLup to 75/90/135 kg
Beo (steel version)85 kg
Merano/Merano XL (steel version)80/100 kg

Soapstone – natural heat retention

The traditional choice when it comes to heat-retaining natural stone, the high proportions of magnesite and talc in soapstone excel at storing your stove’s thermal energy and slowly releasing it over many hours. The soapstone grain turns any stove into a one-of-a-kind centrepiece.

More thermal mass =

Extended heat release

The Thermostone heat retention system transforms your stove into a high-erformance thermal mass stove. Steel stoves in particular benefit from Thermostone, as the integrated heat-retaining stones ensure a significantly longer release of warmth – comparable to a soapstone stove. The skantherm catalytic converter
Efficient and environmentally friendly heating

Thanks to their optimum airflow and advanced technology, our stoves already achieve low figures for emissions. By adding a skantherm catalytic converter, however, your stove can reduce these values even further – cutting carbon monoxide emissions by as much as 80%, for example. The catalytic converter works by reducing the higher emissions typically caused in specific phases of stove use, namely when lighting the fire and when adding more wood.

The catalytic converter also raises the combustion temperature to optimise the process, increasing the stove’s efficiency and thereby reducing the overall volume of wood consumed.

The end result is improved performance plus a significant reduction in emissions. For low-emission, responsible heating.

How it works:
The catalytic converter activates once the combustion temperature reaches 250 °C. Gases produced by incomplete combustion flow over the stainless steel coating and are largely neutralised by their reaction with oxygen.

Impressive benefits

- Up to 80% reduction in carbon monoxide
- Significant decrease in hydrocarbons
- Significant increase in efficiency
