The Thermostone heat storage system adds extra thermal mass to your skantherm stove. The integrated storage modules absorb heat while the fire is burning and gradually release it back into the room afterwards. This allows the pleasant warmth of the stove to linger even after the flames have gone out.

The versatile Thermostone system adds integrated magnetite heat-storage modules to your skantherm stove. Concealed within the stove, they preserve its minimalist design of our stoves while absorbing heat during combustion and gradually releasing it back into the room afterwards.

Soapstone – natural heat retention
The traditional choice when it comes to heat-retaining natural stone, the high proportions of magnesite and talc in soapstone enable storing your stove’s thermal energy and slowly releasing it over many hours. The soapstone grain turns any stove into a one-of-a-kind centrepiece.

The skantherm catalytic converter reduces gaseous emissions – cutting carbon monoxide emissions by as much as 70%*. The catalytic converter is particularly effective during the operating phases in which emissions are highest: when lighting the fire and when adding more wood.
By increasing the temperature, the catalytic converter also helps optimise the combustion process.

How it works:
The catalytic converter activates once the combustion temperature reaches 250 °C. Gases produced by incomplete combustion flow over the stainless steel coating and are largely neutralised by their reaction with oxygen.
